In 1966, Paco Rabanne is a French fashion design house launched by Francisco "Paco" Rabaneda Cuervo. He was the Spanish-born designer commonly referred to as Paco Rabanne. He and his family fled from Spain throughout the time of the Spanish Civil War. He was growing up in Paris and trained as an architect, but he began his fashion design career by jewelry designing for other fashion houses before aiming his hand at clothing and outfit design. He rapidly became recognized for his modern fashions featuring alternative components such as paper and metal.

Paco Rabanne launched his 1st perfume, Paco Rabanne pour Homme. After that in 1995, XS Pour Elle was launched which is a flowery and limpid perfume. Then, in 1996 his first unisex perfume "Paco" was manufactured in a recyclable metallic bottle. 2 years later, "Paco Energy" was introduced and after a year, Ultraviolet perfume for women was introduced. The men's adaptation of "Ultraviolet" was launched in 2001.
