All Issey Miyake Perfumes can be found in this section.

Issey Miyake is a Japanese designer recognized for his inventions with fabric and his utilize of technology to make fascinating and convenient garments.

After studying and learned graphic design at Tama Art University in Tokyo, he continued to work for some famous dressmakers of the sixties. He moved to Paris and started working for Guy Givenchy and Laroche. Then he moved to New York which delivered the chance to design ready to wear for Geoffrey Beene. Miyake came back to Tokyo in the early 70s, launched the Miyake Design Studio and started creating women's fashions.

Miyake's fashion designs and fragrances exhibit a feeling of humor and take advantage of multi-lingual puns. For example "A-POC", seems like the English word "Epoch." Once Miyake introduced his 1st fragrance, L'eau d'Issey for women in 1992, the identity is a homonym for the French word l'Odyssée (in English "odyssey"). A fragrance by Issey Miyake, introduced in 2009, could be read as "ascent by Issey Miyake." Miyake also manages a store in Japan known as ELLTOB TEP ("pet bottle" spelled back) which is selling his whole product line.

In 1997, Miyake formally retired from design but continually supervise all the product lines in the company.

Issey Miyake perfumes are provided fragrances in association with Beauté Prestige International, a section of Shiseido. The very first edition was launched in 1992 and the latest is from 2017.
